Who should I nominate?
You should nominate women leaders who meet the following criteria:
She should be someone you have worked with in some capacity, not someone you know casually
She should be CEO-ready
She should be someone you trust to lead
What does “CEO-ready” mean?
As a senior leader, you know what it takes to be successful in a CEO role, but here is an in-depth list of skills, attributes and experience that you should consider when nominating a female leader.
Am I qualified to nominate?
Although many people can identify a great potential leader, no one truly knows what it takes other than those who have been in that seat. CEOX is focused on having the backing of people who have already been in leadership roles. If you are or have been a successful senior leader you know what it takes and your backing lends significant credence to the women you are nominating.
Are the female leaders I nominate made public?
All nominated candidates are contacted and interviewed to ensure they want their information listed in our directory. You must subscribe to CEOX to access any information.
What do you do once I nominate a female leader?
We will reach out to your nominee and tell them about CEOX and our mission to ensure they want to be in the CEOX Directory. They will receive an invite to our private network and be asked to provide as much additional information to their profile as they wish. They may request to be removed at any time. Some nominees may not be interested in CEO roles but are interested in board roles or speaking opportunities, which we note.
How do I change or remove my nomination(s)?
Email us at hello@projectceox.com to have any of your nominations removed at any time.
How do I complete an executive search for a CEO role?

We charge $750 for a three-month subscription to our searchable directory.
How much do the CEOX women leaders pay?
It is free for nominated women to be in our database and have us advocate for them for CEO, C-Suite, and board roles.
Why is CEOX important?
So many reasons. Here is a shortlist:
Women-led companies are shown to create more jobs and more revenue than equivalent male-led companies.
Women-led companies are shown to have happier employees.
In the venture capital world, CEOs are regularly replaced. The investors, who are typically men, go within their networks, which are not gender-balanced, and those that rise to the top are often men. Exceptionally qualified women remain overlooked and frankly underutilized, to the disadvantage of companies.
Women are hired on their experience and men are hired on their potential, meaning if a woman is not already a CEO, she likely won’t be considered.
Women often do not apply to positions that they are not 100% qualified for, often eliminating themselves from consideration, while men will apply for jobs even when they are not qualified.
Want to see proof of the importance of women leaders and diverse teams? You can see a running list of studies here.
You can also learn the more personal story from our founder here.
I’m busy, how long will it take to nominate?
It will only take you 5 minutes to nominate the women leaders in your network. You can just use our form here. At the minimum, you need only add your nominee’s Linkedin Profile. If you can spare a few minutes, a brief explanation of her skills, superpowers and what makes her CEO-ready is ideal. You can also email nominations directly to hello@projectceox.com.
Is CEOX a non-profit?
CEOX is a registered Benefit company. It is important to never give the impression that hiring a woman is a charitable act. We also realize the great economic value our service can bring to companies, so registering as a Benefit company was the best balance between for-profit and non-profit. As a Benefit company, we are required to make our annual benefit assessment report available for free to anyone who wishes to review it. If you would like to review our benefit report, you can email us at hello@projectceox.com.
How many women leaders can I nominate?
You can nominate as many women as you want. Because we know CEOs are a rare breed, our form is limited to 3 nominations at any one time. However, if you have additional nominations, simply fill out the form a second time or email us at hello@projectceox.com.
How does CEOX work?
CEOX solicits nominations from successful Senior Leaders (CEOs, non-profit Executive Directors, VC General Partners) to nominate women in their network who they believe could be successful CEOs. When a company, organization or recruiter needs to find a new CEO, they subscribe to the CEOX Directory and search for a list of qualified candidates based on their requirements.
I’m a Senior Leader, why should I nominate anyone?
Because you know gender-diverse companies outperform others. Because you want to be known as an inclusive leader. Because you know it is the right thing to do.
I’m a Senior Leader, but I don’t want to nominate women that are working for me because they could be hired away.
We get it. Amazing employees are hard to find. We urge you to think long-term. Your support and elevation of women leaders is creating the inclusive culture that will attract many more kick-ass employees. With your support, your nominee could return to work with you, or run your company with even more skills and success. You will become known for cultivating a culture that will attract many more employees who will thrive under your leadership. You should nominate her. It’s the right thing to do.
